Jac E. Knust is an experienced collaborative law lawyer and family mediator. He has been practicing family law across Maryland for over 50 years. The family law cases he has taken have included child support, custody/visitation, and divorce. He is an advocate for alternatives to traditional divorce, including collaborative law and mediation services. Jac manages a team of collaborative lawyers. During his long tenure as a practicing attorney, Jac has handled cases beyond the scope of family law and continues to do so today. These areas include criminal law, DUI/DWI, traffic violations, motor vehicle accidents (Plaintiff), estate planning, wills, probate and estate administration, and business organizations.
Jac graduated from Clemson University in 1969 and earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore School of Law in Baltimore, Maryland where he graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors. He was admitted to practice law in MD in 1972.

Aside from his involvement with the law, Jac was also a Captain in the Signal Corps in the United States Army Reserves for six years. In 2011, he was inducted into the Friends School of Baltimore, Athletic Hall of Fame. His hobbies and interests include rowing, kayaking, restoring historic buildings and automobiles, and researching history and genealogical research.
